With a very longstanding PB of 13.11 I've never yet managed to trouble the real monster Zeds, but this lovely fat and buttery 12.06 Zander at dawn today has seen me accomplish a bit of a personal milestone. Double figure Zeds from 12 different UK venues - the Dirty Dozen!

Please excuse me scrubbing out the background.

I've been a very happy chappy today.

Thanks Barry, Ian, I followed up with a 9+er too and all before breakfast. Still, a blank this afternoon on another venue brought me firmly back down to earth.

I am well happy with doing the dozen waters, it's been on my mind for a few years now as I got closer.

Lovely fish to crack it with, it was immaculate and had definitely been on the scran! I had a 9.02 afterwards and it looked really small

Massive well done, mate - I realised, myself, long ago, that I'm never gonna catch the most or the BIGGEST, so I specifically try to catch BIG Pike from as many different venues as I can now as part of my trying to achieve something unique at this my chosen game and thus recognise the effort required to achieve what you have?

I understand how you feel Micky mate, I have had a few bogey waters over the years but one in particular where every man and his dog seems to have managed a whacker of a Zed. My biggest from there after a lot of sessions, 11.5.

Gotta crack it sometime - last year I bought a house within half a mile of the venue (as the crow flies) more effort now needed methinks.
