I have two, standard build with full cork handles. I keep meaning to put a stainless butt cap on them but still haven't got round to it.

Re: Rod line clips.

I've just bought some from the bay, waste of time. They'll only sit on the blank too far in front of the reel with the "O" rings supplied, so when fishing with an open bail arm, the line still came off the spool. I need to get some bigger O rings so the fit on the handle directly above the spool. Or...

Re: G point hooks

I'm pretty sure they're done Mike.

England angling has 7 packs of size 6 203 left in stock and they're the one's I use least, barbless, I still have a couple of packs myself

G point hooks

I've just about exhausted my supply of gamakatsu g point 202 and 203 hooks.

Can anyone recommend a similar pattern as it seems these have been discontinued. Why I'll never know??

Have you tried the figure 8 loop Mike?

I don't know which wire you use but in your pic it looks like it may be supple enough??

Re: Braid on Baitcaster

Physics 101 (in the style of Mike J) the outer part of a cylinder moves faster than the inner when rotated because a larger distance has to be reached in the same time. Argument over as far as I'm concerned Duncan, without falling out  We are actually agreeing but from different sides of the ...

Re: Braid on Baitcaster

A full spool has to travel faster because of the increased diameter!

In theory, the dead centre of any spindle rotating, is stationary, go figure   :pipe:

Any lads on here that have worked on lathes will tell you that for any given RPM, the outer is quicker than the inner.

Re: Probably been asked before but....

Hi Bob, Go to UK hooks and get yourself a selection. They used to come in boxes of 25 and all the smaller sizes are black. You will need to try various sizes, go for a gape width on the circle the same as your normal hook. Dont worry about how big the hooks 'looks' your only looking through the eye...

Probably been asked before but....

..... Given the recent debates regarding circle hooks, I know!! Today I fished a tiny club water (farm pond) that gets zero angling pressure, for perch, hoping that it might throw up a surprise. I had a few small fish that engulfed the worm and size 8 hook, prawns produced some very tentative...
