The downside of a heavy mud weight is just that.... it’s heavy, first you have the tear out force to deal with if it’s stuck in the mud and once that is done it’s a lot of hauling on the rope, it’s not much fun hauling 30kg up from the deeps. caravan chassis are a good option if you can do a bit of work on it, mine cost £80 and had working brakes and decent rims and a spare rim with it, tows really well with my seahog 15' on it after crossmembers added to mount other parts on.
