Hi All,
I haven't been active for a while because of things including work, health and other issues. I miss my piking though so I'm in the process of getting tackle together having sold all my gear including my boat a few years ago. I'm going to concentrate more now on lure fishing even though I've considered myself the worlds most unsuccessful lure angler!
I see this is a very busy forum and someone has the great honour as having the same name as me, unless I registered before and forgot my password!
I've a lot to catch up on

It's funny you should mention lures and your lack of success?
A recent conversation with Piking legend "King" Brian Ingram, saw both he and I, recognising that we ought to do more lure fishing?

TBH mate I got a bit fed up of lugging gear around every weekend and lost a bit of enthusiasm and energy. The only things I have left now is fly fishing gear!
I'm going to splash out in the next few weeks and get some stuff together. Start maybe late winter on some of my favourite waters.
(How are you keeping face)

I'm still plodding along. My enthusiasm comes and goes but a bit of good fortune in the form of a BIG fish here and there kick starts me all over again usually.
I certainly don't have the energy or drive I once had but I like to think.
(My experience helps offset that now face)
