Hi from an elderly angler.

Post by Rosemary »

Hello from a rather elderly female piker.
My fishing started with my father before the war. Wyken pool and Coombe lake were our frequent haunts in those day. Now I have returned to Coombe to restart fishing for pike. Done just every other sort of fishing but now after the big ones that I know to be in Coombe.
Just old and knackered.

Thanks for the welcome.
Well, some may think that I am a lady, many don't. My only qualification in that area is that, sadly, I don't have any dangly bits.
Been away from pike angling for some time now Im back and looking for up to date advice. My tackle box still contains Fishing Gazett floats and Jardine snap tackle. When I started piking it was practice to gaff all pike, happily those days are over. Rose

Before the war....would that be WWII?
If so that makes you older than Mercman.

Just a query about your avatar though?

Anyways.
Welcome aboard and good luck with your efforts.
