Hi from N.lreland

Post by nortchul »

Hi,
I haven't fished in about 10-12 years since the EE's came and ate everything that swam. We tried going further afield but that became a 5 hour drive and they seemed to follow us.
Got the bug again and hope that some of the more remote lakes will have recovered.
I'll keep you posted on how the season goes.

Hi, just registered and was wondering should I crush barbs on my lures as I have just bought lure rod and reel, I know it makes for easier unhooking what do you think?

on my larger lures I do crush them down a bit, you can nearly tell by looking at them if they need doing or not. no doubt others will tell you to crush them all down.
try some and if your loosing fish lift them out a bit but can't see it being a problem
hope this helps and good luck
