Steve it used to be an unwritten rule on the Pit that no waters were named, now for all members when they join it’s clearly stated, you don’t name waters, you don’t ask for advice on any particular water other than by pm maybe, but as for your first post asking about waters..... forget it,try a map or google nobody on here will give you the names of waters as we guard that info closely, you should know why .

Almost every water in the uk contains pike, from old gravel workings to tidal rivers, pike are a common and successful species.
Look on the internet for local angling clubs and in tackle shops where info is often given away freely.
As said Google maps may help you identify potential waters.
River are often good for sport of modest sized fish and really suite the lure or mobile angler, other species such as chub and perch are a favourite target to the lure/fly angler and are great sport.
Bigger fish are often associated with still waters, particularly trout reservoirs and so flyfishing with larger lures has become very popular over the years, many reservoirs even open their doors to predator anglers!
If someone one on here did give you the nod on a great bit of fishing the rewards could come very quickly although cheaply and so the sense of satisfaction and accomplishment is reduced in my opinion.
So do some home work and get out there and do some fishing, you will struggle at times and the rewards will be great at others but the rewards will be yours alone.
This angling lark is a life long thing to most, so don't rush it!
Cheers Alan

I fish around that region.
The first thing to bear in mind is that we have East European anglers who like to eat pike and this makes any lure fishing stranger extremely suspect and closely observed.
Day ticket waters in your area are like chocolate fireguards.
Many of the stillwaters are managed for carp anglers so all or none could be worth a try but you would have to join a club or a 'dead mens shoes' syndicate to fish the better places.
With Clubs expect to pay £50-100 joining fee and then £150 or more per years subscription plus gate key charge.
Lure fishing for bass is possible but we have fishery inspectors and protected spawning grounds so be aware of the regulations before taking any fish away.
Good luck and don't think you will find your Utopia immediately.
