Foreign newcomer
Hi!
I’m a pike angler from the north of Italy. After years of lure fishing only, four years ago I started a new adventure with deadbaits and, more recently, live baits... this strengthened a lot my personal development as a piker, and it is every day a new incentive while fishing. Depending on the spot and the period, I actually alternate techniques.
Unfortunately, in Italy, beliefs about piking with baits are actually extremely negative, thus there are not many people to confront with and to learn something new.
I discovered your forum and I enjoyed it, so I decided to join you.
(Moreover, it will certainly help in improving my English: I’m still working on it)
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
I believe you have some beautiful looking pike in Italy - we would all look forward to seeing some of those!

It is sad to say that even here, in its homeland, it is disappearing, leaving the place to the northern pike or hybrids, and remaining confined in some strongholds of the species ... nonetheless, sometimes pure fish show up even where they were thought to be lost! Hope to show you some good ones!Welcome to the forum!

Hello Pk
Welcome
Many years ago I spent a short time in Northern Italy.
We were based at Bovec in Slovenia, fishing the River Soca for trout, just month's before war broke out in Yugoslavia.
We crossed the border and spent a few days walking out from Tarvisio.
Welcome
