Re: PAC 2018 Convention
The committee would like to thank the speakers Phil Kirk, Mark Barrow and Adam Caulfield, the traders, the PAC helpers, Kettering Conference Centre staff, the PAC members and their family and friends who attended yesterday and made it a success.

Re: PAC 2018 Convention
Enjoyed Mark Barrows underwater footage,
Good to meet up with a few from here
Probably the least Iβve spent tbh!
Obligatory book, A Lure & a bit of Ironmongery & that was it!
Just a thought Jason & I know itβd mean a hell of a lot of extra work but if itβs at all possible Eddie Turners stand from last year should become a permanent feature?

Re: PAC 2018 Convention
I enjoyed the day but it was quiet compared with last year. I bought a bit of tackle and a few books and paid another years PAC membership. Met a few faces from here too for the first time. I second what Andy has said above regarding Eddie's stand. Never had enough time last year to take all that in would love to see it again or something similar "Piking through the years" type of stand would be good. I enjoyed the speakers. The Mark Barrows one was the one I thought I would like the least, but enjoyed it the most. A quick drop into Delboy's house on the way home with Andytheammer and Happy Hayes finished the day a treat.

Re: PAC 2018 Convention
The stand has gone forever and most of the display of tackle was borrowed from many individuals.
Cheers

Re: PAC 2018 Convention
Funny people keep saying it was a bit quiet when I think I have seen somewhere that the numbers where only 16 less than last year.
After chatting with JC it is evident there is a hell of a lot going on behind the scenes that many / most of us don't realise. The few lines about it in Pikelines don't really give the true picture about how much time and effort JC and others put in. Good to catch up mate and thanks for all you do... nice to hear that you are not banging your head against so many walls these days and the powers that be are working with rather than against anglers to some extent.
No coaching sessions was mentioned a few times. Obv a good reason for that but was such a success in recent years?
Marks underwater footage was great to see and talking to him after he has a real passion for what he does.
Nice to see Adams path into piking and Phils retirement fund working to keep him catching a few too :o)
Only thing I thought odd was some of the annual awards where not presented this year. Something to push for in future IMO. Don't let em fade away.
Get each RO to put nominations forward from their patch for the committee to choose from??
Less raffle prizes this year thankfully :o).... Poor old Dick cant cope.... just sell one colour FFS :o)
