Medium depth trolling lures

What’s your go to lures for the 14’-18’ sort of range? I’m well covered for deeper and shallower but my collections lacking this sort of range

Hooker Seducers, Lil' Ernies, Mollies, Legend Sunnys, Legend Juniors (shallow setting), Savage Gear Butch, Grandmas/Jakes, Slammer minnows, BM Custom 1X Shads, Tuff Shads... there's loads that'll run in that depth band.

Do you rate lil Ernie’s? I’ve got one but I’m not keen on it’s action compared to regular sized Ernie’s

I've caught plenty on Lil' Ernies and the big Ernies. The Lil' Ernie has probably caught me most between the two and this is on big waters with prey fish of all sizes. They'll run at 15' with 35m of 50lb PP out at 2.5 mph, and down to 20' with 50m out. I've had several 20+ pike and 15+ zander on them. Fantastic lure.

Hooker Seducers run 14/15ft and track well even at speed. Caught a lot of pike on those and some good zander. A straight depth raider runs 18/19ft, probably the best trolling lure you can use at that depth. Those are the two I always use. Oh, 9" Jakes if you want a bit bigger, they'll do 15ft. Other option if you want to go a bit slower, is to weight a swimbait, like a large sinking SG trout or roach.

It was you that put me on to Seducers Mark, many moons ago. They've certainly lived up to the recommendation. Thanks

The company has changed hands around 5 times since the early 90s. When Blue Water Baits owned the rights they almost doubled the prices. The new guy has doubled them again. I've bought all mine second hand.
