Fox Micro's
I had a bit of a tidy up today sorting out a load of lures into new storage boxes and I came across this little lot of Fox Micro's:
I must make an effort to get them out this year and have a bash with them. I've never actually used them in all honesty, has anyone else done any good on them?

Re: Fox Micro's
The micro demons are highly sort after and fetch a packet on ebay. I'd sell them and use the money to buy something else. I've sold a few on the bay that have fetched over 20 quid each. A mint condition roach, the blue one, got 35 quid!!!
Sell individually in batches of two or three at a time to keep the price high.
They catch fish but they're nothing special so if someone wants to pay that kind of money let them go.

Micro demons fetch £20 each 2nd hand. The boxed pink panther one might make £30.

There were a bunch of MegaMice on there a while back and they went for a little over £20 apiece, when the going price seems to be around double that amount.Sell individually in batches of two or three at a time to keep the price high.

Agree with Steve, if you sell do a few at a time, I sold Charlie's on there a few yrs back when in demand and prices were high, it's choked with buy now prices . Let them find there level and almost all except demon pattern will post for less than a quid. To keep postage down.
The jointed mini runt are another desired pattern, sold a couple of Charlie's for £25 or so each!

Re: Fox Micro's
Cheers for the advice Chaps, I wasn't actually thinking of selling them - more of putting in a few sessions on a canal or two and seeing if I could get them to work for me, but I do appreciate your point of view. Thank you.

While we're on the subject, I have some Fox miniscules to sell but I've never seen any of them for sale so have no idea on value. They include Crazy Minnow, Dinky Darter, Hustler and Hot Shot.

The jointed runts are catchers, I've caught quite a few on the micro runt and large runt.

Re: Fox Micro's
As lures go they weren't the best.
The top coat wasn't thick enough and was bitten through very quickly. It would then flake off taking the paint underneath with it. Then they swelled up and split.
Also there was no guarantee that if you bought a replacement the action would be anything like the original lure. Basically they were badly made, easily available and not too expensive.
There is one last thing.......I love them. Both my PB Pike and Perch were caught on Fox Micro lures. I've just packed up my shed ready for a move and I've still got plenty of them still in the packet and not for sale.

Re: Fox Micro's
I think we have said it before, for all the bad press and negativity there is just something about them that makes us want them. Possibly the fact they are becoming rarer and discontinued which is driving the price up.

I doubt I'll use it, but I know someone who likes wee surface lures for perch and I'd give it to him. But not if it's worth a wee bit. Wouldn't s**t on the mate who gave it to me.

Re: Fox Micro's
I don't think the minuscules range fetch much Gus, the main lures that are worth selling are the micro rooter, micro demon, and mouse.

Re: Fox Micro's
Done well with the Fox Demon, I have one remaining, pink coloured, that hasn't been out for a while.
You have several, as others have said i would probably sell half of them.
Also i have the two lures in the bottom right of the picture, the jointed and non jointed version in the same colour as you. Are they called Runts? Can't remember. Haven't used a lot but have caught when used.
