I finally tested my weighted burt this week and tried different weights. I am quite satisfied how deep it goes and how slow it rises. I even caught 2 pike with it while I got no bites when fishing the same spots with a shad.
At the end of each pull the burt swings always in the same direction. Is it possible to adjust the burt and let it go straight or should I leave it as it is?

I think the pike have already answered your question

you can tune it by carefully bending the front eye in the opposite direction from the way it swings
