As the subject what gauge wire are you guys using for riggin up rubbers , would 0.80 be of use on say pig shads

I prefer 1mm the 0.8 seemed a bit flimsy , I use them on pig Shad ( moulds from lure factors) , hope that helps

1.2mm stainless welding wire does the job well, and forms easily enough with round nosed pliers. You can get it on eBay.

Bought it from eBay , 1.2 also works (as above )
If you are on the LAS forum there is a thread regarding this using pig shads as well

If you live near or visit a seaside tackle shop they often have a big bundle of 1mm welding rods somewhere in the shop.
Its because sea anglers use it for their gripper leads.

Would the tooth proof stainless wire in 125lb be OK to rig up plastics

Of course it would.
Ive used 30lb right up to 1mm and it all works, you just have to match the wire to the lure weight.
Never had solid wire bit thro or break on a fish, dunno why we dont see more of the genuine US made material in the shops.
If they can sell Berkley swivels it must be available.
