Hi, well not in Casualty
Works well, 15 secs & your melting solder :laughs:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silverline-B ... :rk:1:pf:0

Device stays Cool etc.
Reasonably well made, i would say.
Very compact, small size.
Should do the job intended well.

Blurb
8w Soldering Iron
Heats up < 15 sec
Cools Down < 30 sec
3 x AA Batteries provide 1 hour continuous use.
For intricate electronic work & on the go repairs
Slider safety switch & on/ off button
Includes iron plate long life tip
Safety cap (stops it being turned on accidentally as well as a tip cap) & solder

Bob

ps got Gas soldering kit (Aldi & Lidl get them in), not used as above, as normally use mains one, for soldering & plastics.

Micro jet mini blow torch from maplins. I've since got cheaper versions sold as cigarette lighters in petrol stations

I use a small gas soldering iron, a draper one. My boat often looks like a M.A.S.H. field hospital when i stop half way through the day to repair 1/2 a dozen replicants/shads, soldering iron will work in the rain and is good for fixing new tails on etc...

I just use flat head screw driver get it glowing under the stove, if your careful enough you shouldn't make a mess of your lures
