Has any one actually bought one of these, tried them out, perhaps had a good look at the way they are built ?

They do look quite strong TBH, which IMO is a very important factor in any lure you use (they look like a resin type material so, to my logic, should be very strong) but, I have no idea of their swimming action or any other attributes they may have, the blurb says that they are :-
"All these lures are Tank tested, Impact tested, Leak tested & Pull tested Whilst they are being made"
I expect at that weight they are they must be sinking lures (which is fine), but you have to admit they are very realistic.
I agree to an extent that there is a chance that they are not of a particularly good quality, but I don't think it is right to rubbish something before you have an informed opinion based on a little your own research.
My advice Alan, would be to buy one and try it out for yourself, it might just catch you that 30 lb Ferox you have worked so hard for all these years  go on, you know you want to  :laughs: .

Aye Alan, produced in their millions and sold by many many various middle men, cheap as chips but, one thing is for sure they will catch fish.

Wasn't there a 30 lb pike caught in the last year or two from a big Scottish loch on one of those Chinese lures. Pike pattern maybe.

A lures a lure. They'll work. f**k, the weirdest things ive seen pike jave a go at is a big bit of wood chip and an empty packet of crisps. Remember people used to, and probably still do, make lures out of cut off bits of a broom handle and cuttlery.

Can call me many things but one thing i am not, is a lure tart :giggle:

Just put a treble (and add a stinger) on a carrot...........they work.

Or there is always that little rubber bath duck I put a treble on way back when, that worked too.

That is a philosophy which I would generally agree with, if indeed it is a fact that these particular lures are S H I T E.

Do you have anything to back up your your statement and condemnation these lures ?

I have in the past tested a good few lures and have indeed found some that are s h i t e, badly made and using inferior materials in their construction, however, I have never read a bad review or heard anyone say that there is a serious problem with these ones.
I think I might just buy one and do a few destructive tests on it.

You’ve never read a bad review on these lures ? Have you read every review there is on them? I doubt it, instead of telling other people to buy it why don’t you get it then give us a review

Hello Wes, to answer your questions :-

You’ve never read a bad review on these lures ? Correct, I have not.

Have you read every review there is on them? I doubt it, I doubt it to.

instead of telling other people to buy it why don’t you get it then give us a review.

If I do buy one, as I suggested I might, I would happily do a review on it, no problem.

Sorry if I have 'rattled your cage' a wee bit with my comments but my advice to Alan to 'buy one' was more of a personal joke which we have with one another from time to time, I know that he got my meaning, I'm sorry that you did not.

Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year Wes  .

Thanks for the input guys. It was the charr pattern that immediately appealed to me.
I wish savage would do a charr pattern line thru.
As I said though the minnow lures of this type catch fish and come in some excellent colours.

I have one in rainbow trout fergie no really gave it much attention so wouldn't want to say if it was good or no..

On another note I seen savage gear have a new seatrout "4D" wanger out.

Looks the part for you trolling guys.

Have a nice Christmas too bud

I will have to check that out mate.
I felt the old 3d rainbow line thru looked more Seatrout than rainbow. The pike on the big loch certainly like them.
Have a good one mate. 👍🏻

It should be Zalt, not Zolt. But I assume therein lies the issue - inferior rip offs using a play on the name? The genuine Zalt is a good lure.

I have lost a good fish in the past with a different budget type lure and would never risk that again so I only ever use lures made by myself or from a company who's manufacturing standards I trust, Salmo, Rapala, Savage Gear.....to name a few.
Pike deserve care when being caught which includes minimising the risk of cheap equipment breaking inside their mouths.

the standard of crimping on some of the savage gear line throughs is not of the quality you would expect, check before you use.
