Looking at them on youtube and they seem ok but you don't know how manys hours it's taken to get the fish,so has anyone used them to good effect.
What's your thoughts on them.

The idea is nothing new. Rat baits have been around for decades, and they do catch fish. Mark Houghton used to have a couple of home made ones in the 80's that caught fish, and I think he'd maybe seen the idea from a Fred Wagstaffe article of the 60's.

The savage rat is the best mass produced rat on the market imo.
The larger model is one of three or four topwaters I always have with me when surface fishing.
The smaller one dives a bit too easily for my liking but still catches fish.
I'd recommend the 10cm bat too, pike love it.
I know savage have their critics, but they get it right more often than not!
