Fox darter spoons?

Post by markd »

I’ve picked up one or two of these only in the last couple of years, both sizes - quality seems a bit crap (bendy!) and action nothing special either way.
Anyone done any good with them?
Which way round should they ideally be fished?

I tried a couple and came to the same conclusion as to them being bendy. Every other fish you need to reshape the thing! Thing gauge is thin and the metal too soft. For a couple quid more you can have a Kuusamo.

I’ve never even got to the point of catching on one! But glad it’s not just me that thinks they’re a bit iffy👍

I've done really well on the sovereign superbaits gator backed spoons well worth a look in 28 or I think they also do 50gms but I aslo agree that the kuusamo or the lucky strike lizards are good spoons.
