Sport Fishing...........I think not. Take a look at the CL8'.

This one is a 9" swimbait' with eleven, yes I said eleven hook points.

Funnily enough I had the same thought today, while flicking nostalgically through 'Plugs and Plug Fishing' and came across this again.

In deference to the late great BR, this was written in 1976, at a time when things were very experimental and attitudes were just poised to change* - but 15! :afraid:

* In fairness, with Barrie as one of the 'leading lights'.

Yeah pretty awful I agree! But I've seen some guys rigs up soft plastics like that, usually a lack of confidence and/or experience I think

Nail - Head etc

Can't see any experienced confident angler buying into this sort of "crap". Deffo' designed for the "Dweeb" market and not for sportfish' quarry, potential damage is the first thing that jumps in.

It's a Yank' thing, no surprise I suppose.

What next you wonder, are we going to see Alabama rigs (umbrella) being used on lure rod outfits here.

Had to look this up. Not for me that's for sure.

Rather lose a fish, than have one totally tangled up in net.

Don't know how they justify that price.

It's not an issue if you gaff them. :stir:
