Mean lures were fairly common in the 90’s I believe, sold by Harris Angling. Of course this may all be completely wrong, but I think I’m right.

I’ve got a few, not worth a deal but I imagine they were good quality at a decent price at the time - when a lot of lures were being imported from the states.

The wooden ones were rebadged Ace lures from Gordon Griffiths, plastic lures were generic Chinese baits and there were soft lure and others IIRC.

The Mean 7 inch minnows, both deep and shallow, are great catchers. Still available from the US as Windels Muskie Snacks:

The shallow versions were also marketed by Ryobi as Dixie Minnows.
I just got another one of the deep ones yesterday.

Jann`s Netcraft sold them too, for a couple of quid or so each, although now discontinued....

I had the lip snap off one of their deep diving big s style lures. The ferox was jumping all round the boat with the lure on its mouth. I was left with the lip.
I loved the Harris catalogues I still have a few in a box of magazines.
