He only had 4/0 7g with a brush head. What is the brush head for and will it work with 5-7.5cm shads

Brush head is a type of weed guard.
He does normal round head and Rugby/ Football.
4/0 is getting a little bit big for 5cm shads TBH......rough rule of thumb 3/0 for 3 inch 4/0 for 4 inch.

I need some jig heads for perch and small pike. Do I want a normal ball jig head or a stand up one. Would you recommend a weedless jig head too?

Round/ ball are more versatile but I like stand up too.
I wouldn't bother too much with weedless or brush guards just yet.

I've always found that the bright orange ones catch a good amount. And don't be too surprised if you catch a big chub or perch using them.
