I lost my last master line one last season and just seen the pikerman today.
How does it compare in terms of action?
Thanks
How does the pikerman copy compare to master line mister Muskie?

I’ve never had a Mister Muskie but I’ve got these Pikerman spoons, they act as you’d expect a spoon to act !
I can’t recall catching on either of them but then I must admit, they’re rarely selected for a swim, I must change that !

Re: How does the pikerman copy compare to master line mister Muskie?
The "Mr Muskie" was an exact copy of "The Piker" but a gauge thicker I believe, the "Pikerman" is a copy of the "Mr. Muskie" and should work exactly the same.
There was a 7.5 inch "Mr Muskie" but I think the "Pikerman" is only up to 6"
I should stress that I have not used the "Pikerman" but have used the others. I just searched around the 'net and the consensus seemed to be that they are the same in action.

They're all based on a single Paravan 'Piker' I gave to Chris Leibbrandt, so that their tech design guys could replicate it's exact proportions and profiles. Then, using computer wizardry, they cloned it in different sizes too.
As you say, the only difference was the deliberate choice to use slightly heavier guage metal - and the fancier, modern finishes.
(The Paravan Piker was itself based, very substantially, on the Jim Vincent 'Broads Spoon' ).
