Big Lure Trebles
I normally go with Eagle Claw 974s in a 5/0, but they're unavailable right now, or so it seems What else is available for very large lures?
I'm looking for something to fit to this lure that I made (10" body and weighing in at a little over 12oz). It's fitted with 3/0 ST36 trebles in the pic, but they look comically small!

BKK 4/0 Spears are what I now use on my larger lures - quite a wide gape in that pattern - example here fitted to a 9" Glide Bait...

I was looking at those on Baz Robinson's site and I think I'll give them a go. Even if they're the wrong size for the monster tailbait, they'll certainly be a good fit for other larger lures that I make.
It's the width of this lure that is the main issue - it's 30mm across the back. I've tried making slimmer versions, but the action just wasn't as good. More tinkering required, I think...

The 5/0 Eagle Claw is also about the same gape, but the longer shank helps prevent the bulky body from masking the hooks.20220412_094538.jpgIv got some large Mustads Steve 30mm point to point let me know if you are interested...or anyone else.

I'll bag 100 up and work out a price.
