Titanium Jerkbait Trace Length?

Post by Schmike »

I have just received my parcel from Andy at Cahira containing my 3 strand 100lb wire (and fixtures) to have a crack at making some Jerkbait Leaders.

Firstly, cracking service with some really helpful messages, so highly recommend!

Secondly, can I ask what length people recommend as the ideal for Jerkbait Traces please?

Cheers

I make most of mine 12" in length, excluding the #8 (power) swivel and #4 staylock snap.

For the bigger lures and trolling, I make my heavy leaders a bit longer, usually about 16".

My standards are 15" overall, so including the swivel and stay-lok. My "Chew" traces are 18" as they stipulate that is the minimum.
