VMC Mustache Rig
Any one tried these, a lot cheaper than the mirus mouse. They look ok. I have brought a few to try in May.

Might give them a try - I often swap the MM tails to something more interesting anyway, so really just want the heads...

I've got a few, mainly the shallow versions for fishing the drains. Better quality than Miuras, but they're not that much cheaper once you have added hardware and a decent body. Having said that, I get my MM from EU sellers and pay less than half what UK sellers want. Expect to see more of these from other brands. I am surprised we have not seen more cropping up.

All the 20g were out of stock, had hits on both that I tried the 40 and 10g. The 10g on a really slimline shad. Didn't bother with hooks as was just messing about.

Wondered why I kept missing hits until I bothered to check it. Just having a play on a Syndicate lake. Only has jacks and I couldnt be arsed unhooking jacks. Just wanted to see how the worked and how quick they sank. Going to Scotland in 4 weeks time, will definitely have hooks on then!

Re: VMC Mustache Rig
Cheers. I'd still use hooks. I remember many years ago, I took a mate of mine as a guest onto my syndicate water. One of the pits on the complex, all I'd ever had from it were small jacks. Never even seen anything decent. His first fish was hooked in two feet of water at the end of his cast, then he promptly hand landed it and let out some kind primeval screak. It was 25lb something. Fire Tiger Hammer I think it was. Lesson, learnt! He's probably reading this and still laughing his nuts off. The b*****d
