Landing net

Okay, let me start by saying that I will NOT, at this stage, be specifically targetting pike when I go lure fishing. I'm mainly aiming for perch and chub, but we all know Mr Pike is usually lurking and so we want to be able to land him safely.
When we deliberately go after pike we have carp landing nets and a padded unhooking cradle so all is good, but when we're roving on bankside obviously this can't go with us.

So, we need a net suitable for roving so ideally folding and one which will hold your average pike. I'm mostly going to be pulling out jacks if I'm honest but as I said, there's always a behemoth ready to spoil the day.

Any suggestions, preferably under £50!

I've got one of these https://www.korum.co.uk/products/nets-a ... ing-spoons in 30" which I use for waters with smaller (sub 20) pike. I think the frame is 30" x 24"

Savage Gear foldable net, the BFT is better but more expensive. Check out Ebay some 2nd hand ones or so for £35.

I’ve got the XL savage gear folding Rubber mesh net.
I’ve got nothing bad to say about it 2 seasons in.
Can get stuff to open if it gets crap on it but a clean sorts that out !
Get the extendable handle version if you’re fishing rivers !
