Angling Direct do their own folding rubberised net aimed at predator anglers. I’ve had one for a few seasons and I’d rate it better than the Savage Gear equivalent net.
Reasonably priced too.
If you don’t want a folding net then Eddie turner does a rubber net to fit on traditional 42” triangular net arms.
i have one of them, with extending handle, works well its pretty much the same as a savage net, i also have one of them, had that one well over 10 years!
I had a Savage Gear one too but I must admit I prefer the Advanta net.
I was in AD the other day and they had one there for £29.99 if you’re on the AD deals thingymabob, can’t complain for that price, but they’ve changed the design slightly. It’s a double metal spring clip for the handle rather than the original plastic clip (more like the savage net), and the plastic hinge and handle lock has been replaced by just a metal hinge. The mesh is also smaller diameter holes now too.
I think I prefer my original tbh !!

My Savage Gear Pro (XL Size) arrived today and I have to say that while there might be some of "equal quality" I am very impressed with mine! I can't wait now to get over this damned viral infection and get out to try to christen it!

Yes it is a Harris. I used to fly a brace of them.
Beautiful
I often have a sparrowhawk in my garden either resting and preening or making a kill
Feathers everywhere!
To me something like that is a real treat to watch.
We were waiting to play a bowls competition one day and while we were having a cuppa and looking out on to the green a Sparrow Hawk came swooping down and snatched a Wagtail from straight in front of us and carried it off into the trees leaving just a few feathers blowing about on the bowling green. It all happened in just a split second. Nature at it's best!

It's incredible
There are a number of pairs of peregrines on a beach cliff down here and you can sometimes see them take out wading sea birds
See if Dave Lumb still does his hook-proof nets. Luremesh, Dave? Never failed to do what it says on the tin and mine’s still going strong after 20 years or so.

Sorry, all gone and not getting any more.
I do have tip rings in stock for people who reply to emails though.

Good job I stocked up then.
Still got a brand new mesh in the loft, for when my existing one wears out.
