Coach of sport fishing in UK?

Post by michel »

Ameteur fishing was nice but after some years spent as amateur there is desire for more. Thinking about sport fishing but with just amateur skills and knowledge it can be hard to compete with anyone on tournament or something. Search alone for a trainer over the internet was really ineffective, look here https://zoptamo.com/uk/s-spin_fishing-c-uk-coach no results even if it is a sport oriented site prepared for searching coaches or training spots. Can anyone give any advice where to search for a trainer of sport fishing?

If it's pike fishing contact the PAC, for anything else I guess It'd be the Angling Trust. There are also independent fishing guides who sometimes claim to give coaching but the only one I know who genuinely does this and has his official coaching qualifications is Dave Pugh who fishes for predatory species, though mostly Zander and Pike, with lures. He can be contacted via his web site or facebook.

These are your best sources for coaches in teh UK. But as sebshelton says, few are geared up for the sort of fishing you are suggesting.
