North West Zander?

Post by CarpRboring! » Sat Oct 06 2018 01:58

Are there any waters in Cheshire, Lancashire or Shropshire and surrounding areas that contain Zander?

PM me please.
To blank or not to blank, that is the question.

Nearest would be the much abused canal system

By "much abused" I assume you are referring to match and/or carp anglers? My local canals have no Zander that I am aware of, and I've been fishing them since I was a kid.

Nothing in the North West, probably nearest venue would be the Trent or Midlands canal system.

Ah yes, couldn't agree more Nev. After all it ain't the bloody fishes' fault they were put there.

Okay thanks Andy, I'll ask around for some decent/reliable waters, I will most likely be fishing a canal.

Yep, apparently there aren't many in there now and any that get caught by match lads get knocked on the head

Honestly thinking of giving it a go, if no Zeds turn up I'll just resort to Pike and Perch.
