Fair play to you again.
The old saying about why people climb mountains springs to mind, "coz they are there" and I think that goes with winter eeling!

Best of luck Nick, hope you bag that one your after
I’ve always been interested in eels, especially since watching Matt Hayes and Mick Brown catch them years ago. Never properly had a go fishing for them, maybe that’ll change next year

Cheers. I did watch the excellent video by drennan a few years ago about the 10lb plus eel that won the drennan weekly cup, what an amazing catch.

Nice eel Nick, good luck for winter with them.
Didn’t get round to fishing the club lake for them but ironically lost a monster (4lb ish) on the river after barbel. Followed it downstream to get over a sunken log it was heading for.
Eventually lost it in some roots when I should have really landed it in the end. They can’t half fight in fast water.
