always amazes me what a small perch will have a go at ......the roach was about 5 inch long

had 2 eel rods out as well , nothing zilch ..... the sun was brutal today on the rez wall..... :afraid:

S’funny - I’ve only ever caught perch on whole or headless, usually popped just off-bottom, never on the heads, which are always on the bottom. Were yours off-bottom?

bottom mate as there always a chance of an eel , but the perch have taken a liking to them too.

this pike took a liking to a big bunch of worms 6 big lobs , luckily on a short wire trace as i knew the venue had pike , its the movement of the worms that the pike cant resist also added another of 10 lbs the one in the picture was just a tad over 14lb , air temps that day was 10c so it went back quickly as do all my pike .....
