I was out and about yesterday when a gentleman approached and asked if I wanted some maggots for bait-catching, his name was none other than Ray Armstrong, ex British Record Zander holder. We chewed the fat for about 30 minutes (more about the Fens than the Severn), he recalled as he used to visit the area (Fens) in the early 70's with a few other Predator anglers from his neck of the woods - in all, great conversation and what a nice bloke!
