Hard to say really as we go through periods of catching every time we are out then periods of catching nothing. I suppose as a average trolling session lasts around 12 hrs it's probably around 24 hrs per fish.
I just wish I could get out more.

Superb specimens again Fergie! stunning looking fish.

Expecting the Rutland Browns to go on the feed soon, it has been a mega year for fry this year for them to munch on.

We had a repeat capture fish earlier in the season, it was caught at 8lb 8oz in October last year, it was caught and returned again in early May at 10lb 4oz!

They fairly put on the weight when they go on feeding mode Nigel.
No ferox yesterday 12hrs + trolling for two wee pike.

Some years it's all deadbaits and some years it's lures . This year is a lure year.
We fished for three full days when we caught the above fish. I used a mix of deadbaits Charr,Dace, salmon smolts, trout and only had a jack and a pike around 10/12 lb. We had three ferox with one lost all on lures.

First of the season for me.
Not the biggest but very welcome after a string of blank freezing windy days.

It's to show that I am trolling lines out the back of the boat and other Loch users should give me space when passing.

Yes cracking fish mate. My buddy had a 14lber pike fishing from the bank on the big loch a few miles from pitlochry, not the obvious f one, the one on the moor.. It was foul hooked, tangled with trailing line,(we had to remove 2 trailing hooks from its gob) so feeling guilty he only took one quick phone photo as we didnt really feel it was fairly caught. I'll try and rake the photo out, I regret not taking proper photos, it was a beautiful fish.

Aye I know yer pain mate a lot of my pics this season have ended up being night fishing self takes which in oor weather can be more than a handful.

Aye that would be good to see if ye can dig it out.

Something special about a big wild troot.
