A mate of mine has a lake if France and is about to start running it as a fishery, I will be going over there soon to help with the netting to which many of the zander will be removed and sold, the nuisance little catfish Poisson Chat will come out and the carp that are in their rehomed for now.
To help keep on top of the little cats, predators need to exist and as zander spawn in pairs, I thought it would be handy to know how to sex the zander in case we decide to release some of those netted, so apart from showing them a toilet seat that has been left up is there a way where you can you tell the difference between male and female zander?
Cheers Alan

This any use, Googleman? https://sciencing.com/tell-between-male ... 39534.html
It seems similar to the method used for musky and pike. IIRC

I did have a look believe it or not but not much for zander and didn't think of asking about walleye.
I learnt to sex pike some time ago and this method is basically the same so thanks for that
Cheers Alan

The toilet seat method won't work for German Zander, because they have to sit down, their wives insist on it!!
My friend refused to sit so she actually had a urinal installed for him!
Amazing but true.

I always wonder if Zeds around the 6-8lb mark which are bulky for their size but a bit scruffy, might be the older male warriors.
