It IS a good fish, but you miss the point entirely it seems, or can't see it, (s***e' photo) belittling a good catch (and leaving Gary open to ridicule).
Also take into account the size of captor, Gary probably weighs 165 lb so the fish looks bigger. How about Phil Wakeford’s 40Lb +er, somehow he made that look like a Minnow.
I doubt if he will even weigh that much Steve but, hey ho, still looks like a cracking fish to me and its also clear to me that his arms are not extended to an excessive degree.
For some reason which is not clear to me, poor old Gary always seem to get a bad press on this forum .
He seems to be a really nice guy IMO, and I am not a great fan of guides TBH.
Wide angle lens in close to the fish = Mr Pinhead-Sausagefingers.
This is how you do it - 10lb pike plus 14mm lens.

Your are still horrible to look at no matter what angle lense you use. Here’s a huge zander I caught last night. Unfortunately I held it so close to the camera you can only see one scale ......
Using smart phones creates many of the problems. I see a lot of super sized fish pictures (and hands) on facefuck and instaknob. I had a nice fish when out stalking and went to take a snap of it, only to find the memory card was missing from the camera (still in the laptop and no spares on me - doh). Dog walker came by as I was about to put it back and took some pics with my phone. I didn't hold it out to the lens, but you can see how much bigger the fish looks (went 25.10)...
