Two Zeds better than one

Well that's it for another river season, the previous one ended up with just a couple of Zander in that time, this season was to be a repeat in the fact I just managed two again, this time in the space of less than a week.
Both were in cracking condition and very welcome.

Good job Zander don't read books, caught in bright sunshine, late afternoon.
When there more of them about in bygone years I used to catch them throughout the day late in the season.

Lovely shots Nige, the river I've fished this year is actually pretty rubbish after dark. I like a bit of sunny weather if the water is up and running.

FYI, I really rate the last hour or so before sunset when it's been bright and sunny in winter. Had a lot of zeds off the lower Ouse in those conditions late in the day.

Cheers all, regarding the bright sunshine one came at 3.30, the other 4.30 approximately a couple of + hours before sunset.
