spoke to soon yet again , went out last Wednesday fished 2 rods on ledger , one on the dyson live roach , and one on a big bunch of worms 6 worms to be exact ,
both rods went off at the same time ,which never happens , my mate jumped on the other rod .
now what ever took my live roach , went off like a train , but i got it under control ,dont think it was a perch unless it was a record breaker who knows ....anyway it spat the bait 10 yards out ,and i never seen the fish , my mate passed the other rod to me and it felt like a good fish , this weeded up solid ,left it for 10 minutes but still not giving , had to pull for a break in the end ......so never seen either of the fish ....and there are no pike in this venue so god knows what was on the end .....the target was perch and eels.....

sorry kevin you know the rules
now then , been out today early 7.30 start .....got straight into the roach from the off caught 2 nicely sized bait fish about 3 inches long ...
2 rods out for the perch and eels , roach to each rod , dyson set up and simple running ledger set up on the other ......

within 5 mins the running ledger rods off ......as i lost a good fish to the weed the other day , so i bullied it-away from the weed.... lost it ....good start
dyson rig rod went off perch to about a 1lb .......
baited the other rod with a roach bigger than i would normally use but hay ho ........this rod was away again within minutes ....at last a snigg
wolly eel 005.JPG
wolly eel 003.JPG
wolly eel 004.JPG
:boing:the bait was a roach about 5inches and alive and kicking ,makes you wonder how they get them down .....

I remember a day out with Kev where an eel of about a pound took a six inch live roach whilst I was looking for my first zander😑

makes you realise how aggressive a eel takes the bait thought it was a pike at first didn't half put a bend in my rod .....,swapped a few rods over to 2 and half lb tests.... just so i can bully them away from the weed beds .

I wouldn't use anything under 2.5lb for eels.

me too now , its cost me a few fish , you need that extra leverage when weedy ......
had better bites to the running ledger rods in comparison to the dyson rig set up ......for now
