had a few kev ..but was not targeting them...... on maggots for rudd ....... but will be going for them shortly.....

I might get one shortly as bycatch. As long as they're not <1lb I don't mind too much. 4lb+ and I'd be happy to see them :thumbs:

Caught several of the bloody things this year to over 3lb whilst piking, they love a chunk of mackerel!😡

I can't recall ever catching one in winter (other than when cod fishing at sea!).

Mine were all back end of season steve,from mid February on, they wake up on my syndicate lake and are a pain😡

had a nice one on mackerel tail a few seasons back........ :thumbs:

I feel your pain. I used to target the tench at a local pit with lobworms and my first fish on worm was an 8lb+ tench, the second was an 8lb+ bream, yet after that it was a never-ending run of eels, eels and more eels. All of them the same size - around 1lb :no:

Had a 4lb eel this morning on double dendra while fishing the lift method for tench.

Had first session of the year on sunday, only bait we had was spam, mate had one Eel of about 3lb but all I caught was bream & big hybrids.

Loads recently, about 2-4lb average size

been out today ...two rods out for sniggs baited up with lobworms and ground bait , nothing but perch they were hanging themselves
not a sniff of an eel ...when your not targeting them you catch the buggers ...never seen so many perch it was one a cast ......to about 12oz
last time i was on here i targeted perch with a live bait .....but caught a big snigg :eek: :shrug:

I had a 4lb er fishing a 4oz roach live 6ft deep in 12ft of water on the Terence

I had one just over the 2lb mark the other day on a 1in white grub on a dropshot! :afraid:

once caught an eel on a trout water on a black zonker style fly , it came up off the bottom and took it in mid-water .....as fast as a pike ......

been out again snig fishing but managed 4 pike to doubles , thats why i use a wire
2 pike on worms and 2 on a rudd head ...doh
