Shimano XT-A Long Cast

Just picked this up 2nd hand for not to much money, was thinking of using it for bit of shore casting, then thought maybe ok for cats, what do you reckon, cats wreck it maybe ?

They are pretty bombproof Roger,don’t think you’ll have a problem for cats or shore,is it a Medium Baitrunner XTA-LC cos I have a hardly used spare spool to sell.

To be honest Nige, I don't know if it's the medium, it's a pretty hefty lump 844gm with loaded spool, 636gm without the spool, just XT-A Long Cast on the side, and above the baitrunner lever it says B-Baitrunner, spool says lbs yds 20-330 and also line dia/cap 0.45-300
It's as big as the 6500b, apart from that, I have no idea, any help appreciated. Rog

Yes Nige, I think it is, just been looking at line dia/cap for the med and definitely less, as I said hefty old lump, but then so are my 6500s, very impressive line lay on this, just loaded it up with braid, will be putting it on a NGT cat rod as a spare, thanks for your help. Rog
