Very few Zander in Cheshire, shame really as there's plenty of waters they'd thrive in.

I was quite partial to a bit of 808 State in my (much) younger years. I just needed to hear "The Only Rhyme that Bites" on and I was doing 50mph on the very same spot on the dance floor AKA MC Hammer style, in my baggy shell-suit. Those were indeed the days.

I remember from the papers in the mid-late 90's he got the measure of the Zeds in there and landed a number of really big ones to about 19.5 or so.

I fished with him (or in his presence) once or twice when I was a youngun. He turned up at a place called Lakeside at Wolvey to meet his nephew (my best mate) when it was still a crucian and proper carp water. He p****d off when he realised there were no massive carp in there. I think that was the first time I saw a bait boat, 93 iirc!

I follow this lad on instagram- its not just massive zeds he gets either. He's exceptional at what he does. No doubt the technology naysayers will be out in force but its really not as easy as he makes it look
