I watched a few YouTube vids last night, posted by that young lad. His catches are absolutely incredible!

Re: BIG zeds
I wish the Terence had a few like that
Must be some incredible feeding in those lakes....or are our zander a different strain?

I’m surprised they never got introduced to a deep northern glacial,
Can see it now
100s of EEs bobbing up and down just off whitecross bay all jigging away

Might not be that one
Wasn't the above essential training for every potential Zedhead?

It decimated a good water at the time,
All you could catch were fingerlings
Not been for over 30 years so would imagine they’ve grown a bit

I remember from the papers in the mid-late 90's he got the measure of the Zeds in there and landed a number of really big ones to about 19.5 or so.

I fished with him (or in his presence) once or twice when I was a youngun. He turned up at a place called Lakeside at Wolvey to meet his nephew (my best mate) when it was still a crucian and proper carp water. He p****d off when he realised there were no massive carp in there. I think that was the first time I saw a bait boat, 93 iirc!
Proper character!

Another mega specialist, Clive Goode, had a 13+ Zander from that water in 1982!
(I'd bet there weren't many other 13's out that year - anywhere!!!)
