EEL season finally started

Had my 1st decent eel this week. 4.5. 37 blanks since December. But chuffed with blank stopper . New water also. Not to many being caught at the moment

Just about to start myself. My syndi' has done them to over 5lb.

It's a species I've never really been interested in until recently but a lack of mojo has seen me looking for something new and eels it is.

Next weekend is pencilled in!

Well done on the 4.5. I will be trying a bit of eel fishing on a club stretch of river when the season begins. No idea about stock but have seen signs of them there in the past.
