Pike Pool (87) James Potts aka JimK2

Post by Jason Skilton »

Well I for one am starting to think of my autumn/winter campaign and with that in mind, I thought I'd share with you apiece from a pit regular.

So got grab yourself a kitkat and have a break, whilst enjoying a story from a pike pool virgin :afraid:

Nice one Jim

Only fished the big lake a few times, only once in the boat and it is a great place to be. Proper result to bag a twenty on only your third session, know lads who have been fishing it for a good few years and not had one!

Nice one Jim... Great read. Its good to hear from lads with similar goals and outlooks to yourself, I really enjoyed that.

I've been fishing the big lake for the last couple of years, maybe half a dozen sessions a season, and its not been an easy place to fish at times. You've done well to get such a result so quickly. It took me alot longer!

Only just got around to reading this Jim unfortunately, but it was well worth the wait. A really enjoyable story, some great fish and very clearly written. Epic battles with monster pike on size ten hooks are the stuff of pike fishing legend. Just the sort of thing the Pike Pool needs. Good stuff!

Jim,

I'd be more than happy to team up mate! I need to get my head round how you tackle these big expansive waters - I'm not entirely sure where I would start, and you've had some excellent results, but certainly not through lack of effort.

As you know, i'd be more than happy to show you one or two choice river spots in return ;)
