Brilliant stuff Dave. As I've said before a natural raconteur. Some day afloat that!

We've discussed petrol Pete and the service station heist before. They are about unfortunately.

As others have said. The second book from The People's Piker is long overdue.

Top notch again thanks Jase.

Ha Dave, I enjoyed that you may be a complex character but are certainly one with a very generous and giving nature! (I'll tell Jase, he'll be gagging...........) :laughs: :laughs: :laughs:

A good read MR H,regards the scammer,I once sold some rods & was owed £30 by said " friend" for a while,he kept avoiding me & still has to this day. I remember though my late dad's words " if it only cost you that much to get rid of that pr?ck,I'd say you got a bargain"

Great read Dave, big up The Pool.

I too got scammed last year on the running out of petrol trick on a side road off the M5. Guy flagged me down, i pulled over with the boat on the back to help. I was tired and knacked after two days out. Foreign fella in trouble offered me a gold ring for £40 for petrol. The ring was brass and worthless. Live and learn but to be honest i was greedy and thought i might make a quid or two, so served me right

That was brilliant

It's a relief to me that in this ever-sh!ttier country there are rare folks like DH who see the good and still have a trust that won't be swayed.

Reminds me of the ending of The Big Lebowski......"The Dude abides. I don't know about you, but I take comfort from that."
