Pike Pool 24 ( Neilson Baxter)

Post by Emma Hamilton »

The Pike Pool has been on the hunt for something...... something that all UK and wordwide publications, magazine, comic, internet or book have missed on our subject pike !
Bait boats have been part of UK speci angling for a long time now, love 'em or hate them. Pike anglers have used them as part of our varied armoury to catch pike for many years.

So then .....just who do we go to for the tippity top low down on this subject ?

It's a total "no brainer" as we dont fanny around and go straight to the very top, one of Scotlands very finest, Mr Neilson Baxter.

Neilson delivers in style , UK pike angling would expect no less.

This article is the first of Two Parts. Here NB details his own alround introduction to bait boats. Coming up down the track will be the techniques and all the little fine details and edges of using a bait boat from the big man.

Subject nailed on the Pike Pool for 2012....... Job done and Enjoy !

Got to admit ive always steered clear of baitboats, it just dosent seem like "cricket" but more and more i can see the advantages of using them on a big sheet of water.

Cracking article Mr Baxter, superb pike/photographs helps outline in style the advantages of using a baitboat Image

As has been commented on the photos are terrific.

I hope NB wont mind me saying this but when the article was done, he told me that he would send me a few photos of some pike he'd caught over the previous couple of months. He jammed my email up !, there were so many photos of big pike that i didnt have room to put them all in his article !

We had never conversed before, but have to say what a nice fella and boy does he catch some BIG pike !!
