Hill Loch trout
Conditions were awful bright sun and flat calm. I manage to rise a few tiny fish maybe trout perch or minnow on the dry but didn't hook up. As light faded the were just subsurface feeding on buzzers so I put a cleared shipmans on the point and hung a epoxy buzzer on the dropper. I had plenty takes on the shipmans but only managed to hook up twice . The epoxy buzzers that I tried were ignored apart from one small perch.
What a night though it was lovely .

Re: Hill Loch trout
I dont know Steve we get one summers day then a week of rain and high winds . I've cancelled a few trips this season because of the high winds.
I have a few re- roofing jobs to start if I didn't I'd be in Spain right now I'm thoroughly scunnered with it all.
I organised a day on the Loch for Friday as it looks OK (just ok) and then found out its the Glasgow fare weekend .

Itβs interesting to get the weather confirmed, like I say Alan I follow your weather but with total disbelief at the amount of rain
Youβll get the roofing done once the trench foot has healed

On the subject of rain I cancelled work today due to the horrendous forecast and it was dry all day
Sometimes you just have to go for it to hell with the trench foot.
I'm going for it in Friday too regardless of the public holiday and the inevitable jet ski w*****s.
I will let you know how it's fishing

Aye its a bit lighter than the usual trout from there too.
It's been totally pish hasn't it.
Nothing new though I got a memory pic today from Amazon me with a trout in July 2020 and I'm dressed for winter it must have been freezing .
I'm clearing my feet of work and getting abroad as soon as I can. Unfortunately it won't be till at least September.

It has its moments Tom .
It does get pretty windy up there at times but the trout don't care they will come up some a size 14 dry hopper in a big wave god k own how they even see them.

Cheers Tom.
I was in the mood for a cast up there tonight but stripping roofs in this heat has left me a bit drained to say the least .

20 to 25 minutes away Tom.
I'm very lucky in where I live I have the Kilpatrick Hills near me and the Lomond system plus other rivers and lochs very close.
