River PB !

Post by nigel savage »

With the fresher weather about at the moment decided to take the dog for a walk along a local river, noticed that there were a few small chub, roach and perch around, with the rod in my van I thought i'd give it a go, (size isn't everything)
I put on two tiny hares ear nymphs, missing a few straight away then felt a little bit of resistance which came in the shape of a Bleak, the first on the fly, which was quite fortunate for the fact that a perch, not much bigger than it was trying to grab hold of it on the way in.

I put on a very small fry pattern on the point taking a perch a massive 6" long, shortly afterwards i caught another Bleak bigger than the first, a new PB!
