not much bashing going on as fished it all wrong ,but managed one

Where there is wrasse there will be bass at some time during the tide.
Fish a livie on a fixed pat as you would for pike, anything up to 6oz will be all you need. Don't be afraid you use a big bait, that 20+ from Pompey coughed up a 1lb pout before it was weighed.
Best keep the location quite as small wrasse are in demand by the salmon farms.

spoke to a few locals in that area , and they have put me on a cracking looking spot , a freshwater river runs into the estuary a few miles up ,so been for a walk down there the other-day and spoke to some serious bass men , watch this space , your right mike live bait for the better fish definitely..... :handshake:

They put the wrasse into the salmon cages and the wrasse eat the sea lice on the salmon, stops them using chemical pesticides, a think the wrasse fetch £20 each :thumbs:

dabs are normally darker in colour but not always......think flounder myself ........ :pipe:

dont lose any sleep over it barry .......dab, flounder,fluke there all very similar
