Ruddly jubbly

Post by Andrew »

Went for a bit of spontaneous fishing today. Wasnt planned at all.

Loch was plagued by weed and only managed to winkle out 2 rudd. Battling weeds got frustrating cursing myself for not bringing my rake so decided to call it a day.

Had been looking at this little round thing most of the day in the margin poking out of some weeds like only millimeters. Picked it out and it was only a god damn rake!!!!

At least I banked some little rudd

Rudd of any size are always welcome for me. And a free weed rake - bonus!

was happy to see them at all tbh. it can be a difficult water ive blanked loads trying to suss it out. there are some monstrous roach in it and even more monstrous roach/rudd hybrids but this is the first time ive seen the rudd. had some great roach from it few years ago.

just wish I found that rake sooner. id have went back to the car for my wellies and screwed the thing to the net handle and raked out a little bit i found where the weed wasnt so bad but still annoying the life out of me. I was so defeated by that time though :laughs:

Just seen on glasgow news site I look at. Something like "glasgow to remain dreich as rest of uk sizzles" and all I'm thinking is "and that's a bad thing ?"

I'm not a fan of fishing in bright hot sun. I get home have a nap and wake up feeling utter s***e. I'm not built for that s**t face like a well slapped fanny.

With you being of the "ginger shade" you should keep a bottle of factor 30 within reach at all times mate, seriously, my old "pop" (grandad) was a freckly ginger and he had to have a lot of cancerous growths removed from his balding pate.

Keep yourself covered or smothered Croftus
