I’ve been looking to do a bit when I can and have bought some savage gear seekers to try, they seem well regarded going by YouTube vids etc. There is an almost identical alternative that is half the price at Glasgow angling centre , fish eagle hunt I think it’s called and I’ve bought one of those to try plus a few other long spoon type lures. I’ve done ok in the past 3” pearl kopyto shads cast into gullies from a kayak so no reason why they wouldn’t work and they are cheap too so no worries if you lose one or two in weed/snags.

Have a look at the 'Bass lures for open beach fishing' thread. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=51211
On the suggestion of andy.c I bought a bombarda. Not yet tried it at sea but have had a play with it on a reservoir & am impressed.

Top water :- Xorus Patchinko 100/125
HTO glide
SG surfwalker 115/125/155

Diving :- Tackle House Feed Shallow 105/155
IMA Hound Glide 125
IMA Komomo or Sasuke

Softs :- Fiish black minnow
SG Gravity stick bait
SG sandeel
Westin Sandy Andy

Metals :- SG seeker
Yapada Warspear

There’s loads more but these are some of my preferred, and if you do some searching on Aliexpress, there are copies which do the job for less than half the price.

Check out the Axia canine instead of the Xorus patchinko, very similar lure, quarter of the price!
