RAD Angling Drop Arm Review
My Thoughts about the RAD Angling Drop Arm for Pike Fishing.
All in all I'm very impressed the Drop Arm Head can be tightened to the desired strength you can use Mono or Braided mainlines without any issues.
The only alteration I did was to add a coat of fluro orange paint to the white head to make it more visible in low light and poop weather conditions.

Re: RAD Angling Drop Arm Review
I found them better than the fox ones.
Over the years I went from home made drop arms with plant stick things wine bottle corks and map pins to the fox ones they were good until the clips started breaking and I had to buy Solar Clips and glue them into place.
I seen the RAD stuff and I liked it so I picked up a set of them thinking if they were no good for me I'd flog them on ebay but two seasons later and here we are at the start of a new season and I still have them.
I did find the very first ones I made in my parents garage during a big clear out hard to imagine the days where you had to make your own gear.

I did buy one once to try and I just didn’t like, but each to their own,but at £20 a pop considering you might need 3 or 4 they just weren’t for me
You can’t beat a bit of homemade tho.

Only issues I have had is the Aluminium knurled tightening screw oxidising making the thread a bit tight. Took em out(catch the spring and small ball bearings or you are buggered!) and left them in some vinegar for a bit and washed off. Back to gleaming. Added a squirt of wd40. Had mine for 3? winters and impressed too.
Love the hit!

I will add one thing to the above review, if you do want to paint them fluro orange scuff up the white head otherwise the paint won’t stick to it. I used fluro nail varnish that was £1 out of one of the many pound shops in my home town think at one point we had 3 different pound shops I plastered the heads in the varnish I gave them multiple coats and applied a clear varnish hardener coat (not sure if this was 100% necessary but the four drop arms got two bottles of fluro orange and one of the hardener liquid the finish is ok).

I use them with my BBB's when fishing slow moving rivers, they are the mutts nuts I think.
