Chuffed to bits to pick up a copy of this at a reasonable price on fleabay today, I'll certainly be happy to jot down a few notes on what it's like when I've read it - it sounds like a belter!

Agee with you that production and content are first class as with all Harper books. This book continues the trend of multiple authorship in a big way which is not always a good idea as it can make the read rather bitty. However as it is by the Perchfishers it is understandable and the book gives a very good overview of where big perch are coming from in the British Isles plus the methods used to catch them. Similar approach to the Tenchfishers recently launched book Tinca Tinca.

Both great and beautiful books mentioned their, harper books are very easy on the eye!

Managed a cheeky mint little copy at 50 beer tokens - chuffed to bits, it's a great book and a worthy addition to the collection.

great book i don't do enough perch fishing i love spinning for them i managed to get hold of a leather with over thirty signatures in it well chuffed

This is where the internet is so useful.
With The Biggest the whisperings started as it was being compiled, an email expressing interest and I obtained a copy hot off the press. (Just wish they hadn't included a pic of my lake)!

Regular 'bay searches and I picked up my unread Tinca for £35.
Friendly Chubfishers tipped me off about the new addition so I ordered a copy long before the presses rolled.
Big Roach 1&2 Mark told me about.

Still haven’t read mine to be honest scared to touch the bloody thing incase I mark or crease it Got a few books waiting to be read and not enough time.

Well this book has helped me catch 3+lb perch from lake and river.
It's a brilliant book and if you won't pay the going rate for the book that's your problem.
